How To's : Set DNS Servers in Windows XP



To set DNS servers in Windows XP See the following steps carefully.

Step 1 :
  1. Goto Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet Connections.
  2. Right-click Local Area Connection that you wish to change and then click Properties. If you have multiple connections setups then select network which you want to add DNS serversand then Right Click on it and select Properties.
  3.  

  4. Click the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click Properties.


  5. Click Use the following DNS server addresses, and then, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server boxes, type the addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers. .
